Just got my new 2024 C4S and was offered at GT3 allocation?
Dilemma -- I waited almost 3 years for my new 2024 C4S with my dream spec (Heritage interior and Aventurine Green, plus plus). Also bought a new 2024 Cayenne for my wife.
When I picked up my new 911 (in December) I asked about a GT3 touring allocation and was told I could get one but in 2 or 3 years. So I thought great, I will drive the new 911 for a few years and then trade it in if I am lucky to get a GT3 allocation.
Dealer called today and said he might have one for me (at MSRP) in July but he needs a commitment.
Do I trade in the dream spec (4 months old with only 1100 kms on it) or drive it for a few more years and hope for another allocation in 2027-2028?
I have heard GT3 allocations are very hard to come by so am I missing out if I say no?

No brainer to upgrade if you get MSRP allocation on GT3 and don't get bent over on your trade in on the C4S

It sounds like you’ve got a pretty heavy C4S dream build. Is it a requirement for you to trade the C4S to the dealership? Are they ok with you taking a GT3 and selling your car privately? I know selling private can be a little bit of a pain in the ***, but with the spec you’ve got, you might be able to get an extra $20k if you sell private vs what dealer will offer you on trade. If I were you, I would play on the GT3 configurator and see if the C4S is still your dream car, or is the GT3?

OP, I'm sure you already know this, but it would be unwise to trade in your car before you've got the keys to the GT3 in your hands.

Yes they are but it’s not part of a normal production run - it’s when they need to bump back ST or 3RS production for some reason - they just fill the gap with GT3 spots. It’s not just for Europe either

No - it's not Europe. It's for Canada. Apparently there are a few remaining allocations for 2024.

I traded my 4GTS for a GT3 this year. Both spec'd similarly. Best decision and could not be happier. It's more raw than the GTS but all in such a very good way. I daily drive the GT3 as I did the GTS when is not winter. If I were you, I would jump at it as the GT3 will hold value a lot better too.

OP, I can imagine how this will play on the home front, but can you keep the GTS and trade the Cayenne for the GT3…and get your wife a Kia? 😝

I will eventually be in this same predicament, but I’m so far invested in my C2S (…HRE’s, LWB’s, GT3T deck lid, AeroKit upgrade, etc, etc.) that I think it’ll be a difficult decision for me when that MSRP GT3 allocation comes. You’re not that invested, so if you’re getting a good/respectable trade-in value or you’re able to sell privately, I would take the GT3.
