Default 245/35/20 and 295/30/20 on 2.5 GTS Carrera wheel

Seeing many threads on this topic, but the majority apply to the 4.0 GTS 8.5inch front and 10.5inch rears. Anyone running these tire sizes on the 2.5 GTS 8.0inch wide and 10inch wide rears?

When I had my previous 718 S with the Carrera S wheel design, I wasn't able to fit wider tires (tried with re71r). My tire shop wasn't able to get the tire to fit at the front with the 8" width. Rears were ok if I remember correctly.

A different brand of tire might work on the 8".

Sorry a bit late. 2018 Boxster GTS. Yoko Apex V601. 280 TW. 245/35/20 and 295/30/20. Would compare them to 4S. They are about 1/2" slimmer than 4S in Porsche spec.

Oh nice. I have the same tire on my 2019 GTI and I like it. I was considering it for my 718 T, how do you like those and what did you have before?

Had the original Pirellis on it before. These are quieter and grip better (295 vs 265). These are actually on my wife's car. She was complaining about fishtailing too much with the stock 265s after doing a Cobb tune, lol. No longer a problem. I don't drive the car a ton but they feel pretty comparable to the 4S I have on a 991.2. I think they're about $500 cheaper than the comparable Michelin 4S.

I also have the Pirellis and they're ok, but I feel these would definitely be an upgrade at lower cost. I'm just not sure I trust Discount Tire to mount them

I know it's hit and miss but I've had great luck with the discount tire near me. Typically I will bring just the wheels in.
