Everyone here is going to have their favorites, but a lot of us run Michelin Pilot Sport 4S.

Cup 2's are a bit more track focused and fussy in the rain and cold from what i've read, although i've never run them myself.

For all weather I'd go
https://continentaltire.com/tires/ex...act-dws06-plus

Pure summer. Ps4s
Tracking cup2s

Agreed with above :
pure summer and not seeing any tracking days but can still handle some heat and has tread for rainy days and won’t immediately turn into a hockey puck in borderline 40 degree temps: PS4S
true all season for the rest of the time including winter temps and bipolar weather: Continental DWS06 Plus

I have used the Michelins mentioned above on three SL 550’s and two 911’s but switched to the Continentals which to me are a smoother and quieter ride. I do a bit of spirited back road driving and it is generally warm here on the Texas Gulf Coast during the Winter.

I decided to try the Falken Azeris FK460 A/S for my ‘all season’ set of tires and have been impressed so far. I live in the mid-Atlantic so the weather is not too bad, but this helps extend the life of my summer Michelins.

The tires handle great and there is little to no road noise.

Any recommendations for A/S 19s? The DWS06 is not available in that size. Base 991.1 2014 Carrera cab we just picked up with 13k miles still on original Goodyears, which are too elderly and very noisy. 235/40/19 and 285/35/19.

They are not confidence-inspiring in on rainy roads. If you are explicitly looking for wet weather tires, look elsewhere. Source: Cup2 in FL rains. They're not horrible but I run them because it's not my daily driver and I do visit the occasional track.

For semi chilly weather driving, (below 35 - 40°), Michelin makes the High performance all season Pilot Sport A/S 4 … And the aforementioned continentals.

Not sure if they make 19’s but had Toyo Proxes on my base 991 and they were fine in the PNW climate. We’re not pushing our cars to even 80% of its capabilities on the road.

Looks like on a 991 with factory 19s, the current options are:

Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4

Yokohama Advan Sport A/S + (discontinued so a bad choice as rears wear out before fronts)

Falken Azensis FK460 A/S

Goodyear Eagle Exhilarates

General G-Max AS-07

I would not have considered the Generals but apparently they are owned by Continental, and there are some folks with 997s that have been happy enough with them.

Michelin PS AS4 allllll the way. No question about it. They would be my personal pick for my 911 in 20s but the sizes aren’t available

Default all weather tires

I bought my car last month with 20 inch Conti DWS's. They are great on the cold days. I just switched to 19 rims to get a little more sidewall on our crappy CT roads. So will be putting the Conti's on my new BBS CH wheels.
i will be selling my 20" BLACK Porsche factory wheels wheels, with almost new Conti DWS staggered 20" tires. 235/35/19 and 305/35/20's. No curb rash. car has 25000 miles and tires probably about 1500-2000 miles. I think they have a 50,000 mileage guarantee.

I vote for the DWS 06+

They are fantastic.

I used the DWS06 for cold weather, but with a nod to the Michelin Pilot Sport 4A/S as I have them on my Audi. Can't go wrong with either.
