Default 991 GT3 Oil Sample Results Thread

I would like to start a thread to compare what others see in their oil sample analysis on their GT3 Engines.
This is a G6 engine that at the time had 28K miles.
This sample was from my prior oil change and first under my care. They note high Iron and Aluminum - "Hard use could explain why both metals are high" interesting comment to someone that tries to go to 9K rpms every time I take the car out. Also they note low viscosity for the oil type (Liquid Moly Molygen 5w40) I am curious to see results from others and wee if there are any trends.

This is mine at 35k. 991.2 - lots of track time, Mobil 1, 5k oil intervals. I just sent a new one on 45k. I'll post when I get the results.

Amsoil vs mobil 1. Mobil 1 was at 9,000 miles Amsoil at 13,000. Both driven hard for 3,000.

Latest. Lower iron, higher Lead, possibly from racetrack fuel.

Great thread, very timely.

I recently purchased my 911.1 GT3 RS, and then did a lot of research on the oil, which engine to use. Here, Bob is the Oil guy, and other forums. The GT3 factory oil is spec'd as 0W40, but this thread shows how this engine shears the heck out of the oil. Look at every single viscosity reading here on the report. All below the expected range of the oil.

A 0W40- ends up like a 0w30/20. A 5w40 ends up like a Ow40, and so on. Light oils contribute to engine wear, ESPECIALLY finger follower wear. The oil is too thin to protect them, even with short intervals.

I have Mobil 1 5W50 FS X2 going into my car tomorrow, after ~500 miles on the last dealer oil change, which I suspect is Mobil 1 Euro 0w40.

In my research it looks like Mobil 1 5W50 FS X2, Mobil 1 SuperCar 5W50, and Redline 5w40 are good choices. Amsoil 5W40 euro seams thin, but better than 0w40. You want oil with HTHS above 4.0, with high ZDDP.

If you track your car, or live in a warm climate it's my opinion you are not helping your car by running Mobil 1 Ow40.

For those cutting out the personal info, be sure to include what oil!

The above is not helping at all.
I have ran dt40 in all my p cars, lower temps, and better oil pressure, the oil was designed for the p car engine.

My latest report... 991.2 GT3. 5k mile oil changes, uncountable amount of track days, Mobil 1 0w40.

What's the issue? DT40 5W40 is a solid oil. DT retains it's viscosity better than 5W40 Mobil 1. DT40 is a lot like Mobil 5W50, with more ZDDP. You're basically doing exactly what I was saying.

Designated oil by any manufacturer is an optimization problem between fuel economy, wear, starting temperature, operating temperature, warranty, oil change interval, cost, emisisons, etc.

For maximum protection you will select certain variables for optimization, and compromise or control others.

Liqui Moly is the latest sample in my F engine car. First sample was Mobile 1.

Here is mine. 991.1 GT3 RS, G0 engine, 8900 miles, 504miles on oil. Unknown oil since I just bought it, and assuming it was serviced at the dealer, it would be Mobil 1 0W40, but Blackstone thinks otherwise.

Eitherway, I put in Mobil 1 5W50 FS X2.
