Default GPS09 Pro Open in AiM w/ Accelerometers and Gyro

This might only be exciting for the data geeks like me, but AiM just released RS3 3.63.20 which includes support of the GPS09C Pro Open being connected to an AiM logger and using the accelerometer and gyro in the GPS! This lets you to compare the g forces and gyro readings between the dash and GPS. It also gives you the same tech they use in Indycar and some other series. For folks who have a non-AiM system, you can use the GPS09C Open and Pro Open as a RS232 or CAN device to feed a MoTeC, Cosworth, Bosch, or other system. I've sold them from cars to motorcycles to boats and everyone is happy.

GPS09 C Pro Open accelerometer and gyro setup.

Is it more accurate than the older AIM GPS 08? Does it use the IMU and GPS to correct each other's drift?

The GPS09 (of any version) is better than the GPS08. The GPS09 is 25 Hz data versus 10 Hz for all the old units. The GPS09 Pro Open while having the IMU, does not currently use it for dead reckoning.

Official info hasn't been releases on the X-Log. It should be soon and is a really neat device.

Is the GPS09 Pro Open compatible with SmartyCam 3 Corsa as a standalone data logger?

Yes. I have both in stock if I can help you out. I can also pre-program the SC3 Corsa for you so it's plug and play (and you don't have to buy the USB cable).

Thank you for the offer, I do like to tinker so don't mind putting in the work to configure things... just requires Race Studio, correct?
Also about the GPS09c Pro Open, any concerns about signal strength at the base of the windshield? I have a 997.
Oh, and is the "Stick On w/ AiM CAN Harness (4m)" the correct one I should order from your site?

The front of the windshield should be good. The stick on is best if you don't want to drill a hole. This is the USB cable. https://trailbrake.com/open-usb-harness-5m/ Also, I have 4m and 2m AiM cables for the GPS, so just let me know which you want. I have to leave in about half an hour, so if you order after that it should go out tomorrow. We are getting 3-18" of heavy snow, so I'm not sure how UPS will be tomorrow.

I don't have anything extra. The ECULog should be shipping soon and all the details are out https://www.aim-sportline.com/us/pro...ulog/index.htm They both look very neat, but I don't have a date on the XLog. I'm getting my first GT32 wheel today.
