I did a simple one - I went with Stainless/Chrome (it looks dark in the pic, but it is chrome/silver color) to match my exhaust, targa bar, porsche lettering, and ED wheels. I got it on eBay for under 20 bucks. Did a Carbon Fiber one for my Mac and GT3 Touring (they have CF accents).

I went with a simple, black silicone frame and some nice, wide-headed black screws.
The silicone frame is nice because it doesn't cover much of the plate.. just the very edge. It also runs behind the entire plate, acting as an isolator between the plate and the body, preventing rattles.
Wide headed black screws do a good job of covering the entire hole / slot in the license plate. I can't stand seeing little open bits of the license plate slot sticking out beyond the mounting hardware.

I usually don't use a frame...but this one is nice. I have trimmed out the corner with the expiration sticker since this picture was taken.

I really like the "slimline" (low-profile) Porsche plate frame. It's very high quality and has screw caps that actually screw onto their base - very secure and trick, and something I haven't seen before.

Burning Brakes
I purchased two of these from Amazon - they are inexpensive but appear to be good quality

My silicone frame is just a super-simple one from Amazon. This is what I ordered:
My screws were comically expensive for what they were, but rather than figuring out sizing and ordering something through McMaster-Carr, I took the easy way out and just ordered through this link. They are really well made and will never need to be changed: https://titaniumcarparts.com/collect...late-fasteners
