Default Would you?

Picked up my new car a week ago.

Was super excited for a road trip to the in-laws for the weekend. If only for the 5 hour drive each way.

But now the dog sitter cancelled. I’ve got three little mutts. It’s going to be raining all weekend.

I could bring them. But raining all weekend along with muddy paws and tons of traffic???

I’m thinking the stress will ruin the fun.

Don’t get me wrong. This car will be driven. A lot!!! And hard. But first weekend out? It’ll not be babied per say. But I’m not sure I’m ready for all this.

What would you do?

Not me, I had my Golden in the front seat one time and he was so excited and moving around to look at everything that one of his claws put a pretty nice 4" gouge in the leather. Last time he rode in that car.

Super grateful for the responses guys. Making me laugh.

Was feeling like a sissy for not doing it. And damn, I really want to. But not worth the stress.

This is a pic of the three in the now gone AMG GTS. Look at the stink eye the chihuahua is giving me. This too was a bad idea. And actually one of the reasons I wanted the 911. A backseat that’s perfect for them.

Don't think twice...those lil cutie pies got itty bitty nails.

I thought you were talking about 50 pounders.Put a sheet over the seat if you're hung up about it. That said Ill admit Chester is never gonna ride in the 911...in the f150 regularly but not in the main toy.

Seeing the size I might tend to change my tune. Mine was an 80 pounder and with those little guys you could easily put down a blanket or towels in the back. I'd be more worried about mud/dirt/hair than anything else, but that's probably a minimal risk. I had a totally different picture in my mind from your first post.

If your pets are like mine they are part of the family and a car is just that. I am sure you can find a lot of blankets for them to get comfy, a couple stops for them to take care of business, and you will feel better in the long run.

very much so. Our lives revolve around them.

Just thinking the daily might be a less stressful option. Yet that too I try and keep pristine.

Brought my pup home from the breeder in my M3 and he’s been right next to me ever since!
Lol, I’m certainly an outlier... if a dealership is not dog friendly, I don’t even bother... my golden has logged almost just as many miles in my cars as I have 😁 I say take the doggies!
