Default Upper flappy bearing removal; carrier?

removed the TB bearings and the lower flappy bearing with ease, and no issues.

not so with the upper flappy bearing. instead of the bearing coming out on its own, it looks like the upper bearing has a
carrier that is starting to come out with the bearing staying in place.

should I continue attempting to pull the bearing with this carrier? am I missing something?

Pry out the bearings in their cage that holds the bearings in place. This will leave just the race (shell) in the intake. You can try to use an improvised puller to remove the race, but an actual puller would be much more likely to succeed. There's also the cut the shell with a Dremel bit and remove method.

I would love to see what's in that link. It is no longer active.
I was not an owner back then and I'm sure my day will come for this repair.
If anyone has it please post. Most grateful
Thanks
