Red seatbelts??
Hi
Re: 2012 997GTS
I am considering sending in my retractors for installation of the Maxspeed red seatbelts. My car is black over black, and I've wanted to add just a little bling to it. I did replace the bronze centerlock nuts with red per the attached pic.
I understand the difficulty of evaluating colors in this manner, but can anyone advise me which of the Red or the Bright Red color is closer to the reds of the centerlock nut?

I just went with the factory ones on my blk/blk turbo.. Dealing with the down-time of the core swap, plus the price difference wasn't THAT big of a difference.. I sold the black ones on ebay so with that factored in it wasn't too much total $.
I did the belts, console, door finishers, and gauges in red.

Should have been more clear. Which of the two reds here:

I did like Saabin and replaced my belts to red from Porsche. When I was debating on Maxspeed they recommended the bright red would be like guards red.

Found out you can order samples, which I did. Many have gone with Maxspeed, and at $425 for all four that's likely the way I'll go. Thanks for the replies.

I can see (pun intended, see below) how a close match is important. The truth is, however, unless the two colors were right next to each other, humans are not very good at differentiating shades of any colors (other than greens and yellows). I could blather on about the biological and physiological basis for this, but I’ll self edit. Your visual acuity for detail (including colors) is mainly accomplished when you look directly at something. So the two reds would have to be within the same field of direct vision. Belts and lug nuts would not qualify so you’d never know they were not the exact same color. Peripherilly, is how you would see the two colors, and your peripheral vision sucks for picking up details (but is great for detecting motion). So, don’t sweat the details, chose the belt color that you think best matches and every who sees it (not side by side, but in the car), will rave about how great they look.

Got mine from Maxspeed https://www.maxspeed-motorsports.com...er%2FBlue.html
Was more concerned about matching my red gauges and the red stitching/stripe on my steering wheel than any exterior items. Perfect match. They'll send you a sample if you're really concerned. Picture attached of how it turned out. Steering wheel and gauge cluster next for you to complete the package.

I love your red centerlock nuts. Where did you get them? I have a black '11 C4GTS, and recently added a second RS spider wheels. I got them painted White Gold (just like the ones on GT2 RS) and put them on with black center locks with black caps (attached).
I think your red center lock will look fabulous with black center caps. Just an idea.

I just had my belts reconditioned by https://www.safetyrestore.com/ They replaced the sluggish retractors and switched the black belts for red... perfectly done. These guys were very professional and turn-around was quick. Much cheaper than OEM... However, I DO have a set of 991 red belts for sale. Thats another story.

I am 99% sure they are from a 991. I bought them from John Gaydos in Fla... he and I both thought they were from a 997. I went to install them and it they would not fit... I can gather some picts over the weekend. I will sell them (for what I paid, which was around $600 for the pair.
