What is wrong with track time? These cars perform better when driven hard. Unless crashes or money shifts were an issue, a well-maintained, properly warmed up and driven car is just that, whether on the road or at the track.
You know what will kill a performance car in a hurry? Short, frequent drives of less than 15 minutes. The classic "my grandma's car that was only driven to the store and back" is the worst kind of Porsche you can buy!

Track time is not better than normal street driving.
What a crack.
Been on a track?
Look at maintenance requirments from Porsche on tracking a car vs street driving. Huge difference. Wearable s including major motor parts are significantly impacted.

Would you be interested in an E39 M5? It's not a collector, it's a driver (completed One Lap of America this year) but it's in nice shape and turn-key. Plus about $50k or so, of course.
