Ha ha. Good thing the owner never drove the car in salt or snow. That would have caused much more damage!

Well, at least the price is good... oh wait, never mind...

I get the impression that the posted pictures were taken before the hit. Too much dirt accumulation in the back and the lights have UV cracking/hazing which wouldn't be the case for a new replacement part. Unless of course the lights were replaced with used parts which would make me wonder what other used parts went into the rebuild.

Default Wrecked 5/30/2013, Photos Taken 6/2013

Based on the links posted of the wreck and the original poster's Google photo spread, the photos were taken AFTER the car was fixed. To be fair to the original poster, the current owner did not deny the car's crash history. If the car is fixed properly and there are no major mechanical issues, it would make a good DE/Time Trial car - that's what the current owner used it for. The crash damage history will affect the car's final selling price.

It's really a shame because this is the color combination and set up that I have been searching for. If the seller was transparent about the accident history and presented the repair properly I would have bought the car. Because he chose to hide the history I can't proceed.

To be candid, the original poster did not disclose the accident, which is tantamount to denying it.

Buyer beware. For $22K you can find a nice, not wrecked, 964 from an honest seller, not some shady creeper who tries to hide relevant information.

Default Buyers Are Aware - Now

Right. So now the buyers are aware. There is a (buyer's) market for previously-wrecked-and-then-fixed track cars. Let's face it. Crashes happen when you're gunning for fastest time of the day, and you run out of talent--or--have a catastrophic mechanical failure that causes a crash. Few sellers would highlight a wreck like this on his ad. Of course a savvy buyer will ask about crash damage, and the truly shady seller will deny crash damage. Although this seller did not deny his crash and subsequent car repairs, he mis-represented his car as a pristine example of a '92 964--which his is not, because of the major crash damage.

Default Seller adjusted price and mentions repairs in PCA Mart Ad

Thanks!

"...May 2012 repair replaced rear bumper and right (rear) quarter (panel) – chassis is straight and paint is perfect. Very good condition inside and out, cosmetically and functionally."

Notable options for the track drivers on this forum are a factory limited slip diff, sports seats, and sport suspension. A pretty "sleeper 964" that you can drive to and from the track and enjoy for Sunday morning spirited runs through the twisties

Incorrecto. The seller mentions the repairs that he was called out on here. He doesn't mention the fact that the car needs a new clutch. It's still strange that used, blistered taillights were used after the car was totally repainted.

It shows he was willing to cut corners on the repair. I can understand used parts but at least get nice condition used parts.
