Unique Porsche 928 with ultra low miles, berber tweed cloth and sunroof delete. In stunning original condition.

The car was produced for Japan in November 1981 and came back to Europe (Belgium) in 2014. It was bought by a German architect who dented the front bumper and subsequently sold the car. I bought it in January 2016. Both the previous German owner and me invested heavily in maintenance. All important things like brakes and the timing belt have been taken care of because the car obviously hadn't been driven a lot in Japan. Some 15.000 USD (receipts from Porsche specialist available) have gotten this iconic car technically up to date (water pump, fluids+filters, spark plugs, master brake cylinder).

The vehicle is highly original which can be seen from the peeling inscription of 'Porsche' in the rear bumper, the protective layer on both undersides which is still intact, under the hood and under the car where all the protective black paint from the factory can still be seen.

The originality also means that, despite the low miles, after 37 years it's not free of optical faults. The paint is 80% original, but has some spots. Still I think with a collector car like this one, originality is more important than centerfold retouched beauty. The damage the previous owner caused to the front was so little that the bumper is still the original one, however both brackets around the fog lights have broken and would need to be replaced to be in line with the rest of the great state of the car. The bagage cover is still with the car, but it has a tear.

The low miles are partly backed by documents of the bi-yearly check-ups from Japan. The mileage is in line with the miles on the export document which also means the odometer has not been tampered with upon import to Europe. The original service book and manual are present.
