I own much more than just 996's but the 996 is where I began this journey. The elitist sentiment from the air cooled crowd is entertaining. So much comparing and snobbiness sometimes. You all know what I mean.

i was simply wondering why the seller would buy the car, not drive it much at all, and then put it on the market again. pretty sure that's a legitimate question. i was actually entertaining the car, as i'm in the market.
i'm also the guy that PM'd you earlier today about your white 996tt for sale, as i'd love to find a white tt with a unique interior. i can't say i'm an air-cooled elitist, as i've owned a 997S, a 928 and my current 951.
you're probably just having a sh*tty day, but you might want to check to see who you're condemning before you throw around 'nosy hater' accusations. you probably don't need to PM me back on the white tt.

now i see your mistake... i PM'd you on 6speed about the white tt.

You have a different username on each site so you can see how that is possible. Regardless, maybe I read you wrong in your response to the Bugatti Blue ad but anyone who is serious would PM like you did on 6 speed vs. obscure questions in a sales thread in open forum.
Anyways... Mike, sorry for taking space on your thread for this conversation. Mods feel free to scrub if needed.

I know the seller of this car very well. Look at his past rides. He just doesn't keep ANY of them very long. He enjoys them for a while and moves on. I will tell you this every one of his cars is in perfect condition. The fact that he put in another 10k into the car tells you that he will not settle for anything less.

I have had several 911s in the last 11 years or so. I have never kept them longer than a couple of years. This one I have actually kept a little longer. The main reason for me selling is that I'm just not driving it as much, because I just don't have the time anymore. Believe it or not I wouldn't mind if it didn't sell to tell you the truth, the car is simply awesome.

maybe you 'read' me wrong?? i asked a simple question - and not at all unclear. you then proceeded to go off on a little 'no one likes 996s' tirade.
sorry to waste everyone's time with my inquiry into the car and this other crap.

This thread is killing me, worst timing ever. How about you hold on to it and keep not driving it until I get back to the U.S. in a year? If I weren't overseas, I'm sure we could've worked something out. In any case, best of luck with the sale and whatever you're picking up next
