Agree that one shouldn't crap all over another's post but I think thst should apply in all forums. Where's common courtesy gone? But at the same time I think one can offer an opinion or constructive criticism without offending even in the classifieds.

It's all good. If I hit Saturdays lotto I'll buy the car at the asking price

Yes. If you're going to remove posts, you need tor remove both sides. At that point you might as well not allow replies at all.

Pricing discussions are fair game, either positive, negative or simply humorous.

I said many times that Pelican has it right in how their manage their classifieds. No posts other than from the seller. Nice and clean. Keeps the noise level to zero!

Rennlist has refused to manage it that way and instead allows all sorts of comments on pricing.

PNH has some unusual cars and high prices. All good for someone who wants to spend it.

Maybe my tone was off on my post. Maybe this sounds better.....Is the market really $426K? Does anyone have any anecdotal sales reports to share to support the information?

And lets not forget that PNH is a sponsor and a dealer and it just fine with banter about pricing.

I wish PNH good luck in selling it and hope the Rennlister who buys it posts some pictures.

I love the car!!! GLWS

I sat in one at Northland Porsche in Cincinnati when they first came out and it's been a constant fantasy car for me ever since! I even remember the hand stitched leather ac vents... I hope this finds a way to a deserving owner!

Maybe I'll play the loto this weekend?

Pricing discussions should be limited to the Discussion Forums only. IB allows it, for whatever reason, and folks without manners and current market knowledge just post nonsense. Eventually, if there's enough "Wild West" nonsense posted on car ads, folks like me, you and PNH will just list their cars on Pelican, AutoTrader or wherever there aren't stupid comments allowed on ads.

I have seen PNH list many cars on this site and they all seem to sell VERY FAST. I mean like today or the next day. So, if you're here on RL much at all, then you would realize that PNH must be considered experts when it comes to market pricing. And if by chance, they're not, then the free market will take care of things.

So now, we have 3 pages of crap for a car that Porsche only made 183 of, and it's a Turbo (S) and it's an air-cooled model and it's 18 years later. And we all know what type of attrition performance cars take in 18 years.

Default Data Point

A car virtually identical to this one, same color/miles, etc., sold out in California last week for $365,000 . . . but it sold in a very short period of time. I don't think these guys are far off the current market, if they are off at all.

Pretty car - nice carbon fibre upgrades in the interior as well.

given the market of non S turbo hitting 200-250k, the S model in the right color is possible to bring close to double that of a non S.

Let's start a "virtual value" thread of each other's cars while keeping the RL'er's screen name anonymous. Then let's make a virtual time capsule and revisit the thread quarterly. Seriously! I paid what was big money at the time for my TT's but I'm sure their "virtual value" has increased exponentially. Maybe I'll call a bank and take out a Teloc (turbo equity line of credit) and buy a few 356's as a hedge...
