I've already had two deadbeats to come see the car. One the wife said no (you would think he would check first) and another was a no show. People never surprise me.

i troll this place sometimes. They may want to give wholesale but you never know. They deal with some nice M series and arent shy about the mark up.

Very beautiful car and its in RED! Cars like these take the right buyer. It may take some time but you will get your price. At this price it seems like a bargain. Lots of car here for 17k! I wonder how these compare in reliability to the M5?

Agreed, I was set on the roadster when I bought it, so will take the same type of buyer. Most of these are $17-24k. Higher prices for the low mileage dealer examples. For the maintenance I've put into it and the condition it's really a steal which is why i'm quite firm on the price. It's just a dream when it's warm out.
Compared to the M5, The S52 M3 engine is one of the most reliable engines BMW made for M cars. The M5 is known to have reliability issues, but nothing that isn't expected from a 15 year old BMW V8, but here is a good article on what to expect
