Guys,
Been adding to the moto collection lately and the 996R has been a bit elusive. At least a nice, clean example.
(Not a Ferrari but had to designate something for the post!)
Ideally looking for low mileage and stock but open to considering others.
I love the older stuff, so if there are other “special” limited Ducati’s out there let me know.
Have posted to all the ducati sites but bike guys are usually car guys too and this site gets such great traffic.
Thanks in in advance for any leads!
Kevin

1998 Ducati 916 SPS
I happen to have one of these numbered bikes. It's number 824 out of 1025 sold world wide and only 100 came to the U.S. I believe. Ducati made these for superbike homologation of the 996 motor so it has a 996 motor even though it is called a 916. I am the 2nd owner and it has 5200 miles. Looks brand new. Sorry about the screwy picture. This is the only one I have on hand. You can see the bike at the bottom of the photo.

Quick search on my local craigslist and I found you a 996 with 8 miles!

OP, I had listed my 2006 999R on here a while back if that's something that would interest you. Otherwise, good luck with your search, that's a sick bike!

I've got a 1997 SPS which i purchased from the orginal owner a few years back. They are beautiful bikes for sure.
The 1997 is a very rare beast and never officially came to the US. Speedo is in Kilometers, but a few got registered stateside "for track use only". they're a ton of fun!
Here's a pic of mine (ignore the 888 in the foreground!)
