Best dealership to order a 992 in California?

If the car isn't used in CA, sure that makes sense. Big grey area there. If you live in CA, you should pay CA taxes. If you claim residency, live in, have license in, and pay taxes to Montana/Oregon/wherever...then okay. Otherwise, you're just a fraud who has a sketchy lawyer. This post originated as "living in the Bay Area" which means CA tax upon receiving the car...regardless of where it was purchased.

You can go shoot for a discount...but keep in mind if you shop and buy in CA, make sure you take into account the Sales Tax due at your pick-up location. If it's higher than where you live, is it really worth it? A few thousand dollars shouldn't make too much of an impact on your ordering decision....your car is going to depreciate just like any other new car. But, whatever allows you to feel happiest.
IN CALIFORMIA YOU PAY TAX BASED ON WHERE YOU LIVE, NOT WHERE YOU BUY.

I love the fact that ppl love to get screwed by the dealers.
this is why Tesla is getting bashed by media and franchise dealer cus they basically cut out all the middle man BS.
Btw, you only buy in Beverly Hills when you simply dont care about $10k to 20k chump change

No that’s his point... if you are using the car in Cali you are paying Cali tax... unless you register it to another state (assuming you have an address) and risk getting caught

I had a really really really good experience at Porsche Marin when I bought my 991.2 GT3; I got it at MSRP and was never a previous Porsche customer. I put my name on the list and it was first come first serve. I worked with Andrew Proaps; he is the best in the business. Shoot me a PM if you want more info!

When you register you car in CA, they’ll ask for evidence of the tax paid for your car. You land up paying the difference (if there is any.) I do believe there is a window where you can get around this though.
