Its an original LTW with no stories. I owned this car from 1999 until 2003. No accidents or paintwork of any kind. The original owner of the car, who I bought it from, drove the car in One Lap in 97 or 98. Wish I had kept it all original but that is a different crystal ball.

No stories != gutted without the original engine

I mean, I guess $40k is a good price but if I was posting this car up for sale, I would do a detail write-up on the history and reasoning for swapping motors (and what not). Full modification list would be nice. Maintenance history should be basic.

I'm a busy guy, I've had several lengthy conversations over the phone with interested buyers, and have done my best to convey the history of this car.... No need for me to write a novel just so tire kickers such as your self can get fulfillment. All of the basic information is in the post above. Cheers!

Just saying, you probably would not have had to had several long conversations about the car if you put together a comprehensive for sale post. And I get it, we are all busy and I may have actually been more than a tire-kicker if more of the history of the car was disclosed in this post (actually in the market for something fun). But I honestly (and this is my personal preference) don't want to have long conversations about a car that has been heavily modified. I'd like to see clear maintenance and modification history in order to make a decision on whether to reach out. As a wise person once said, buy the seller, not the car.

Either way, good luck with the sale...I'm sure someone will pick this up as it does seem under market

In other words, I'm not gonna buy it, but I think it's a great deal anyway

S54 motor in a prepped E36 makes for a satisfying track driver. Fast enough to scare me into doing aero when I got wheelspin at almost 145.

Was this by any chance Seth Thomas' old car?

Probably not...but I do feel a well written For-Sale post is worth its weight in gold in terms of not wasting people's time...
