According to Porsche, the PDK offers quicker performance.
Seriously, it seems like a LOT of folks really value the manual as a part of the " Spyder experience", and I suspect it would have sold faster. Obviously, I am very happy it didn't, and I wouldn't have it any other way, but I am almost positive I am in the minority.
Pete, I took the Spyder out for a nice drive yesterday. I am every bit as thrilled with it now as the day I picked it up from you.

I'm about 100% positive it would have sold faster. It was the only question buyers had in their search, "would they like it?"
I enjoyed the car and think it suits it just fine. I'd buy another with PDK.
