Interested.
Could you post some more interior pics, seats etc. Or send to my e-mail augusto.ferreira.br@gmail.com
Also, have checked anything of how and what are the costs to re-enter and register in the US?

AFAIK, no issues to return to the US - there is likely an import duty, which would likely apply to any cross border purchased commodity. Someone suggested that to be 2.5%. I cannot quote that as fact; regardless, any duty and/or state takes are based on the provided receipt .... which is sometimes consistent with the BB Value
Yes, I added some pics - anything more specific, pls PM.

If the car was an original US car you will not have to pay duty. You MAY be asked for prove of US registration.
If it was an original US car it should have the emissions sticker as well.
If the car was original to Canada you would have to pay duty but a 1996 Porsche is on the list of cars that comply with US emissions standards.
You only need a broker if the vehicle is "non-conforming" otherwise it is stupid money to pay.
Here is a good place to start, follow links to EPA, etc.

The simple answer is 'no'.
The Title for this car was issued by Nova Scotia, and has a rebuilt designation since '03 or '04 timeframe when issued to the PO, for the particulars discussed in the ad text. I purchased it in '06 and the car was retitled to me in the same province.

Garth, I send you a PM a couple of days ago and never heard back from you, I was very interested in your car but after Jlbarnett asked about the salvage title i decided to pull a car fax and a auto check and in both reports this vehicle shows a SALVAGE TITLE , am I missing something?

Yes, you are missing a few things ...
Firstly, I do my best to respond to all PM's, emails, phone calls, knocks on the door - but never perfectly: wrt your PM of Monday, this week, you were kind enough to include an email link such that I could respond, and include pictures.
I responded to that email, so perhaps you may once again check your inbox: to save time, and deal with the inference that I perhaps ignored you ( never) - I will copy & paste that email with its date stamp ... sic.

Hi Rudy,
Thought it was clear in the ad that the right ( passenger) door was smacked – door and rocker panel were replaced in ’03/’04, which is when my PO imported it from Conn – and had it repaired here: the car was recertified ( federal inspection), and then recalls ( eng wire harness) and Cdn safety compliance ( DRL’s) were done by Mark Motors, Porsche dealer in Ottawa – in ‘04” I bought this car, and a ’96 C4S parts car from my prev owner/PO in July’06 – the door & rocker came from that 24K mile parts car.
Car was resprayed – mostly & perhaps all – I cannot tell. As the car was not drivable when imported, that is an automatic rebuilt tag on the Title when all the work & recertification were complete..
Nothing major – ie, no chassis jig etc – passenger door frame was undamaged, and entire car is perfectly straight ..
If interested, please specify which shots are of more interest ( eg., interior, low angles to show straightness of panels, seats , etc… I’ve taken a few recently
Garth
.... so, that's the copy I sent, and had not heard back from you: if I can be more forthright, please advise.
Secondly - as to the Carfax: My car has a rebuilt tag on the Title, as was clearly specified - as was the issue of damage 10-11 years ago - it does not have a salvage title.
The car had ( as in past tense) a salvage title as a result of whatever specifically happened in '03 @ ~ 50K miles: that is a conclusion agreed to by the owner, his Ins. Co, adjuster(s), and possibly lawyer. Once that is decided, that goes forward two ways in any jurisdiction that I am aware of: the car is then either graded non rebuidable , the VIN is struck, and it is never to be made road worthy, but useful for parts, scrap, or a flower pot.
Alternately, the car is authorized for repair/rebuild, " buff it out", and can be fully reinspected , recertified and subsequently retitled for road service - the caveat is that the title is then tagged rebuilt.
That is the case with this car - no secret made of this as inferred by the uncouth comment of a member posting prior to you.
Thirdly - the car was never to Alta/Sask - it was taken directly from New England to Black rock Road ( north eastern Cape Breton, tip of Nova scotia) .... which is where I first encountered it in early '06 - and bought it plus the parts car on 07/'06. Were I to guess, I know that the PO has/had business interests throughout western Canada .... one might surmise that an attempt was made to wash the title???? The car was never in western Canada ( ~4400Km one way), but a title document could be carried on a business trip - I do not know, nor do I care!!
The car is in excellent condition - some here have seen/heard/ even driven in this car at PCA events or at coffee/breakfast type meet: You, or anyone interested are welcome to see the car, or arrange to have a PPI.
The door damage occurred slightly over 10 years ago - any knowledgeable mechanic/body specialist would likely suggest that after this extensive passage of road use that the repair has clearly proven itself.
.... so, if you still want specific pics, they are yours.
Cheers,
Garth
