Once you sell it, you will have some regret, and there will not be a car/truck quite like this one to ever replace it. These vehicles are just such rare birds. I will reward myself with one when I pay off my student in a few years. A G is not a necessity, it is strictly a want, but. It, what a vehicle. You feel like a king in one!
I love this! You are correct - these are irreplaceable machines, especially good ones. I agree, I'll regret it. That said, I find that it's EASY to buy, and while I'm unlikely to be able to replace this G, I'll be able to find something else that satisfies in a different category. I say this now at least... I'm still enamored with the G and will happily continue driving for it for millennia.

Honestly, no idea. Per the post above, nothing can truly replace this G. My hope would be to one day get into a newer one that my soon-to-be wife can drive with more confidence, ha. Having said that, I'm all over the board. Diesel Cayenne? 996 C4S? Segway?

Nice G @Evolution! I have an '04 with double the miles off BaT. Had always been a Land Cruiser guy, but until we can import Cruisers/Gs with modern diesels, I'm sold on pre '07 G500s. I have been extremely pleased and surprised that it has been more reliable than any of my Cruisers. Will 2nd the motion of listing on BaT. Just don't let them persuade you to list at a no/low reserve. I made that mistake with a 70 Series Cruiser and wish I had just kept it... Regardless, GLWS and beautiful example.

Thanks! I LOVE those old LCs and agree on the 5spd MBUSA G500s being ideal.

I've considered BaT, but frankly it's a passive sale more than anything - I still adore the car and am happily dailying it. In fact, she goes in for rear brakes and front drag links/end links tomorrow.

I've known the seller since I first got my driver's license, and the car is epic. Seller, well plays bad music but keeps a CLEAN car...buy with mucho confidence.

I, a man of discerning taste, absolutely have no idea why listening to such rhythmic glory would ever be used as a counterpoint here.

Exactly - I have NOT been trying, ha.

That said, selling today to a low-baller unless somebody speaks up!
