Even the black door handles look good in that photo. What about up-close, with those being shiny and everything else being matte?
Chalk does look really nice especially on the GT3. I have mixed feelings about the gloss black door handles and mirror bottoms... up close it looks good and then when you examine the entire car it kinda doesn't blend or complement well with the rest of the matte black finish.
I actually thought of also doing this on my first build (a Chalk w/ a black theme) and since on the configurator it was appealing but I'm glad I didn't.... the black door handles can stick out like a sore thumb and in some ways detract. It's not too bad though but not my taste anymore. Overall the car still looks great nevertheless!

BTW here's another few pics of the RY again.... with a CXX option.
I don't like the black handles. As for the rest of the bits though... I agree that getting gloss painted mirror bottoms would be out of place. That said... when I bought my Boxster GTS a few years back there was a "GTS Black Package" that painted all the stuff gloss black and if you compared the price to adding up the individual options it was a steal at just over a grand.
It did the front and rear bumpers, the headlight washer nozzles, the mirror bottoms, the side scoop trim, and the roll bar covers.
I wonder why they don't offer something like that here.
Then again... is getting the wing ends and the scoops painted an option at any price?
For those curious here's a shot of a Carrara White w/ the optional satin black & red-striped wheels... side skirts & washers painted and black LEDs too.
this one was undergoing PDI prior to the client collecting it:
Bossing - what are your thoughts on that Miami Blue? Does it look better in photos than in real life? I've seen MB on other cars and thought it was just OK, but photos of it on the GT3 look really nice.

To me it tends to look more lighter blue depending on lighting or even indoors BUT there's a caveat. Under bright lights it can emit its greenish tones. Online pics doesn't accurately capture this color. It makes it look like Riviera-blue which it isn't at all... it's deceiving in photos.
Just remember in person it will be more turquoise-like due to the slight green tint in the paint. My advice to anyone thinking of pulling the trigger on Miami Blue is that you MUST see it in person.... do not rely on online photos.
Think of this... which is probably why it was coined 'Miami' Blue:
I still like it personally although it isn't my first choice. It's also an acquired taste to really fall in love with Miami Blue... one thing for sure, it'll stand out.
The GT3 looks bright and sharp in this color.... an extrovert.
