Rain Causes Hydrolock?

Rain Causes Hydrolock?
I tried to search and hits popped up for 996/7 forums, so I figured I would ask specifically regarding 991s.
My 991 lives outside (only for one more month!), and we recently had heavy rain/wind.
Is there ever an issue with heavy rain causing hydrolock? I know this scenario is unlikely, but just wondering.
Also, where are the drains in the 991, and how are they accessed? I have read that the AC drain line can be accessed via the passenger footwell, but any other drains to check? I clean the car regularly, but want to make sure things like bits of leaves have not accumulated in unseen locations, potentially causing problems down the road.
P.S. I actually drive my 991 year round, and on a racetrack, so I know rain will not cause it to melt

From: The Woodlands, TX.
This would be a question I would expect from Southern California.
No, it won't hydrolock in the rain unless you drive it through a REALLY deep puddle.
But kudos to you to ask a question about the drains!

Two facts I learned today today:
1. The 991 is not a fart-can Honda
2. It rains in Germany
As mentioned, I know it is unlikely, but please keep the mind-blowing facts coming
Any info on the drains? I could not find any diagrams, and the AC drain was not immediately apparent when pulling back the passenger footwell lining.

Not sure about the German car thing, search for "hydrolocked c63" on YouTube :-)
But I think you will be just fine with a 911
Not sure about all the drains,.....the A/C drain exits in front of the passenger foot well. I would just open the frunk & back engine cover every now and then and get any accumulated junk out and not worry about it.

Ha I had a hydrolocked BMW 550i who would argue with that statement. I was going 35mph through a parking lot, hit a puddle and totaled the car ($49k to replace engine). There are quite a few cases of bmw (and now mercedes I guess) hydrolocking their engine.
Hydrolock happens when driving so I wouldn't worry about it just sitting out in the rain. Just be careful and avoid large puddles. Also if you have to go through a large puddle, try not to push down the gas pedal at the same time. I do believe the intakes are higher than on the bmw (they were right behind the front bumper I believe) so that should help prevent it as well.
I wouldn't worry about it to much. Just be smart with the car and keep paying your insurance company

Sad sight,....but given the look of the spoiler, lights on, car not running (no exhaust bubbles) it might have been just sitting there and got flooded. Water hitting electronics do very strange things.
