I believe my 2012 Carrera S was one of the last non-turbo 997.2's made. My car finished production on 05/13/2011. I believe MY 2012 991 production started in June 2011.

Except for Turbos, my guess is the last 997 generation cars were GTS models.

Yes, you do have me beat.

Did not realize normally-aspirated 997.2's were produced past June 2011...my bad!

Found the thread...

https://rennlist.com/forums/997-foru...n-numbers.html

Header says 'model year' but this is from a UK publication so model and production year are the same unlike in the US.

So, many many different NA cars made in 2012.

Interesting production numbers...a lot of turbos in 2012. I don't see any Carrera S models; I wonder if they lump them in with the Carrera's or the Carrera 4S?

I seem to recall Porsche made a number of so-called Black Edition base cars at the very end of 997.2 production.

They did. In 2011.

No C2S made in 2012. 2011 ended production. On previous page. Click the link if you want to see the other 997.2 years.

Thanks. I was having a "senior moment" and confusing production year with model year. Duh!

My '12 was also a (late) July build. I remember my salesman telling me that the Order Book for the GTSs closed in July (2011 for 2012 models) and that the last NA 997s were planned to come off the production line toward the end of October, 2011).

I just pulled the trigger on a '12 GTS and it has a July/11 build date as well. Serial no ends in 520.
