Am supposed to lock my build this month. Since I am going with Lava exterior.. Was thinking of getting the brake calipers in a different color other than Red ( yes I am not going with PCCBs).
- What colors would go well with Lava for the calipers ?
- How hard it is to request through custom order process?
- How much would it cost?
Porsche will never do custom colored calipers. The red and yellow are a branding thing and even uber vip's have tried and failed here. Sorry! Good news is that when you start driving your car, the concern about caliper colors fades away instantly. Congrats!
Few comments on this topic by others who have tried to get CXX painter callipers. Summary from what I recall is that near on impossible unless you are family.
Go with aftermarket and make sure the painter preps them properly and paint is suitable for high temp situation. Will end up much cheaper and match to your exact preference. Cost me $1500 for an Audi I did with two colours. (lettering painted and contrast colour).
Colour wise, maybe try matte black ? with contrast colour lettering ? Might look quite good with black wheels ?

- What colors would go well with Lava for the calipers ? I would only do Lava or else just go black but you are right, red will be ugly.
- How hard it is to request through custom order process? This will basically never happen even though you never say never. I know high level VIP's that can't get calipers painted.
- How much would it cost?A lot of money. I think the very few that have been granted this it was like $9K. Easier to just get them painted elsewhere.
^ The rotors, yes. Pads will wear but aren't too bad to replace. Just need to be careful not to chip them (by dropping a wheel during a change) or score them.

My recommendation....Lava Orange would look great with black wheels and black calipers....I have the PCCB yellow and while it does look good if they were black I think they would look that much better.....red is a no go with LO.....save some cash, get steel, and have the calipers painted to the color of your liking....
