Default Carrera III 11" on an 87 S4

So I have searched and I know some fender rolling is required.

My question is how much fender rolling to squeeze a 18 x 11 ET51 with 295 35 Potenza RE050A?

If its going to be more than just rolling in the lip I will likely sell the rears to get a set of 10's.

If you end up selling the rears, please let me know. Or we can maybe work out a trade since I have a set with 10's?

Ok I will. I'm picking them up tomorrow night and will let you know. My gut tells me to get 10's.

These are on my supercharged 81 which will be receiving a slight fender flare when I repaint it so fitment is a non issue.

A lot of rolling required. On my 86.5 (S4 suspension) putting 10.5 Fikse FM10's required a whole bunch of rolling to make Potenza Pole Position (295/18/30) tires not rub on the fenders. I think 11" rims would require a substantial amount of rolling to fit if at all. If you crimp the rear fenders like the GT/GTS then you MIGHT be able to fit those rims. Just my personal experience. My offset was 54 on the rears...

Cheers!

Carl, what is the offset of those Fikse's? That makes a huge different.

The offset was 54mm, when I purchased them from DR I was told it was the widest I could go without rolling the fenders. I still had to roll mine on both sides significantly.

Cheers!

The fender lip on my 79 is just a hair under 4mm (not rolled).
Assuming they are all the same across model years, in theory an et50 would have fit without rolling.

Tires play a difference too. I've seen over an inch difference in overall width between different brands of tires rated the same size.

I've got 11" ET50 at the rear of my '85 with 285's and minor rolling. With 295 I'd definitely need to be a bit more aggressive with the rolling.

Strange though, one side needed minor rolling, and the other side I haven't touched.

Ya that's common. The whole rear drive train can be adjusted by loosening the cross member bolts and shifting a little one way or the other.

I'm running 315 R888 on the rear of my car with a 10" rim (tire approved and they were on sale). I have a light rolling, but everything fits with no issues......

I scored a set of these rims with fresh powder coating and will be putting them on my 87 S4.

I'm hoping to fit these 18 x 11 ET51 with 295 35 on the rears. Might have to roll the fenders.

Possible choice

CONTINENTAL
EXTREMECONTACT SPORT
295/35ZR18

What's a good choice for the front on 18 x 8 ET57... thinking maybe these?

EXTREMECONTACT SPORT
