Default Help Identify cable in engine compartment

Hi, I was poking around in the engine compartment (1992 964) and noticed a cable that was disconnected. Could you please help Identify this cable in the engine compartment?

IIRC the second pic is the 02 sensor. The other I am not sure of since the 02 sensor wire should come through the engine tin near the second picture and not where it is currently located.

+1 - Its your oxygen sensor. I see that you have one installed. See the yellow circle. Follow that cable and connect it to the one you showed.

If you remove the blower motor, you will have easy access...

It is strange you did not get the engine warning light as the ECU needs this input to work .

This diagram shows the things needing to be "disconnected" or "unfastened". Only the upper left arrow isn't required as there is a "pin" that goes into a grommet there, so nothing to disconnect, it just comes apart as you pull the blower to the rear of the car once the others are done. You will need to loosen the hose clamps as well so that the blower is free from the ducting...

Also note, this is a side view, as if you could see through the fender to the blower.

Finally, as I recall, the O2 sensor goes through the engine tin where the green circle is, there is a grommet on the lead that seals that hole, then it goes up and connects with the other end that you marked with the red arrow. The fact that someone has the lead is routed up between the intake manifold, is not correct and probably the source of the confusion..

You can see the lead more proper routed here, but I do have it pulled up a bit so you can see it more clearly. I put yellow dotted lines on it so it's easy to see in the pic
