I believe from the bottom to the top of that measurement tool is about a quart. I suggest adding half a quart and drive around a bit until you get the updated reading. As the screen says, it doesn't have to be full to be within an acceptable range. But like you, I was interested in mine being full. But I did the initial oil change myself, so I was able to dial it in myself.

$400 was also the quote I got for simple oil change. It totally blew my mind when I can get it done in half an hour, and less than $70 worth of parts. To me it is $330 for half an hour of labor.

Those are 10 y old pics of old setups I had.. You can see the Prop park 8 and a scissor lift whose brand I do not recall.. All pretty much the same. No I no longer own the cars...Edit: not true the bottom 911 is still w/e... the 2x 912s are gone.. They funded the 991 and an Alfa romeo respectively !

Did not mean to partially hijack the thread...
The issue, as I've been told by an independent mechanic, is whether or not the oil level really needs to be set—with the $$,$$$ factory system tester. He suspects most independent shops (and home mechanics) are, at best, measuring what they take out and then replacing that amount with new oil. The question is whether that's the best method—and whether the car's computer is now reading oil level correctly.
