It's been 6months, but I seem to remember I had to call a Porsche number for a code and have the dealer enable my hardware.

On the pcm connect portal there is an activation code that you enter in the vehicle. Go to home, apps, then click OPT and activate. Select new user , enter code and viola! Assuming you are setup on the portal.

Yea I was there today! Whats the 8pin code? I was trying diff codes I got from the diff emails. Thats what i dont think they put in for me.

Not sure how to fix, but I have to say, this feature is pretty horrible. I tried once, hated it, and went back to the main map layer.

Am I missing some benefit of this function?

Call 1-800-Porsche they will forward you to connect services department and they will have you set and ready to go in 10-15 mins over the phone.
