Growing up, the cars I first started driving in the early 90's all had black door handles and black side mirrors on the lowest trim levels. Hondas, Toyotas, Domestics, etc. The lowest one or two trims had black parts all over the car. Upper trims had body colored parts.
Maybe it's just residual feelings from that era, but to me whenever I see black bits like this, that's what I think of. It looks cheap and economy to me.

IMO, on ilario's new ride these look good... something different, and def not as horrendous as some would have you think. It's all subjective.

not for me. it just has a lot going on.
I think its the black winglet ends and the front bumper scoops. that really starts the thought process of black handles, wheels, side mirrors etc..yeeesh
