i've seen worse...lol

i like that engine in the 944, actually LOL

re the brake booster...believe it or not that's the same concept BMW used in the 90's 5 series to cram a V8 in there.

i looked for a little while into swapping a 3800 L67 (supercharged 3.8) from 90s/00's buicks etc into 944...it's been done by a few folks already.

very solid, reliable engine, all iron but still pretty light weight, millions and millions of them out there...

Is the red car in the picture your car, Spencer? The color looks about right..It kind looks like a 944 engine bay, but with a bunch of mods especially to the firewall...at least whoever engineered this, they fabricated /cast/forged a very nice bracket to hold it all together. Interesting set up...creative way to get ABS into a car. Hydroboost would have had a bit more plumbing, but no booster to relocate..but considering our power steering pumps....maybe not so much..

Rich - no, that's just a file photo from the internet.
That is the STOCK brake booster arrangement on early 90s BMW cars, with the booster all the way forward on that bracket with the rod to the firewall.
They needed to jam a big engine in there and just didn't have the space..

Clearly he figured out the wheels were worth more than the car by a lot. Damn.

**Edit** Actually, upon closer inspection, they look too nice not to be replicas.
