Default Dented sport seat plus seat back

My tint installer dented my sport seat plus seat back. I wanted to see if this was fixable? I read some where the seat must be taken out to replace this piece?

it looks worse than the picture makes it out to be, especially out in the sunlight.

if anyone can chime in I will appreciate it

1. did installer tell you or did you find out yourself and call him out on it?
2. how does an installer dent hard plastic when his tools are a squeegee and film?
3. do not think there is a way to fix it, maybe drill a hole in the dent, fill with body filler, and repaint?

my car is brand new and I only drove it to the installer. Took it home and found the dent, there is a another dent towards the wall of the back seat. It looks as if a long tool was lodge between the seat and wall when bringing the seat back up right. I can live with the dent on the wall since I won't ever see it but the seat back I see it every time I get in the car.

i was hoping a new seat back could be bought and installed.

Probably can be done, talk to you dealer - sure it won't be cheap

If it's metal, dry ice should do it. Take a hair dryer or heat gun, heat up the area and then put a block of dry ice on it. The dent will pop.

Dents with deep creases will come out but the crease will still be visible.

its actually plastic and I heard about using hot water on bumpers but since this is the interior it's not a viable option.

No water necessary, the dry ice will do the trick if the area is properly heated before time.

I feel your pain. I have the same seats. I would insist on the tint installer to make it right. I doubt the plastic can be fixed. I'd certainly get to the dealer and start going through the shop parts listing and see what it takes to replace the panel(s). Sorry man.
