Can anyone definitively confirm that the circled brake line (part #5) is the left (driver's) side inboard hard line? Part number listed is 997 355 175 02. My car is a 2005 997.
The diagram doesn't really look 100% like the real thing so I'm not sure.
Thanks for any help!

The Porsche parts Katalog puts a small drawing of the car in the corner of the diagram page to show the orientation of the diagrams relative to the drawing. If will be working on your car, you should find this Katalog.... they used to be available directly from the Porsche web site (a free PDF download) .... I am sure you can find one with a few clicks or someone here can email it to you.

To get you
I updated my original post with my car year (2005).
I got that diagram directly from the parts katalog. I don't see any diagram of the car. The part number description does say "/L" so I'm assuming that means left side.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say yes. Since the pedal, master cylinder and distribution block are all on the drivers side of the car, as long as the right side of that diagram is the front of the car, then that hard line is the line that runs from the distribution block to the flexible line that bridges over to the driver's side front wheel.

Wow, you are correct, of course... there is no car diagram. I looked into my library of stuff, I found I had a 2005 Katalog... and there are no car orientation drawings.... well they did it for 2009 and on thank goodness. I guess it took them 50 years of mistakes to finally fix this.
