Do I dare buy a Black 911?

This is my jet black metallic 911 covered in garage dust. Nice thing about the metallic flake is that it kind of looks like dust so the real dust hides well. Black does show every imperfection, no doubt. But I find that dirt on a black car does not look as bad as dirt on a white car. My last 2 cars were white and while the white paint seemed almost impervious to visible imperfections, the black road muck that kicked up immediately drove me crazier than a dirty black car. I've had silver too and found that to hide dirt well but there was no reward for cleaning it. It basically looked the same before and after. So in my view, they all have their trade-offs. I'd say go with the color that you just like the best in general. Also, with today's ceramic coatings, black is much easier to maintain. You just need to refrain from the urge to constantly touch it and wipe it down.

+1 If I order a new 991.2 it will be something fun like Miami Blue

I love the way black cars look (my wife drives a black Macan) but it ALWAYS looks dirty. Needs to be washed daily, but I simply don't have time for that so she drives a dirty Porsche. I got mine in GT Silver because I knew I could neglect it and it would still look okay. I have driven silver cars for years now.
Here's a photo I just took earlier tonight after I've driven 2500+ miles on my current road trip without any kind of cleaning. This includes driving through Seattle rain and hot dusty deserts in California.
Filthy filthy filthy car. Still Looks good enough that they let it sit outside the hotel entrance for a long time.

Black is a great color, yeah it tales more work, so what. I like polishing my car it's almost relaxing. I have agate grey metallic, it hides some dirt.
I'd go for it, nothing is permanent.

My 911 was my first and will be my last black car, the swirl marks are so evident and the fact that once I drive home from a wash the car is dirty again ( At least IMO) Is enough to make me look at different options my next go around, but I must admit, after a wash, wax and polish, she sure does shine.

Black makes my 991.1 look smaller ... which I like. For some reason, to me the 991.x looks bigger in silver.

I bought a black car, hoping my arms would get BIGGER. No such luck.
