Default Seattle to San Diego in a 991.2 C4S

Cleared my schedule for almost 3 weeks, so...

No itinerary.
No route planned.
No reservations.
No idea where the story leads.

Stay tuned.

Inexpensive luggage my wife found at target fits perfectly in the frunk.

Awesome. Sounds like one hell of a trip with one hell of a car. Keep us updated!! Would love to do a trip like that some day back on the mainland.

Ok here's some car updates:

It's in the mid 90's in Grant's Pass Oregon. My Comfort Pressure f/r was 30/35 but warm pressure is up to 36/41 psi.

Spoiler is extended of course and the oil temp runs steady at 234 F. Coolant at 194 F.

The trip since is showing 27.2 avg mpg. I bought 10.5 gals after 259 miles so that's a bit high but I'm recording it the whole way and we'll see how it averages out overalll. I am really pleased to see highway mpg so much better than the 17 mpg I get as a daily city commuter. Of course I am always in sport mode, but running normal mode for this trip.

Tell me if there are any routes I should not pass up! I don't care about making 'good time'.

Parked at a rest stop in Oregon. So many slain bugs on the windshield.

I did a similar drive when I picked up my 991S from Bellingham, WA. Favorite parts were stopping by the beaches throughout Oregon and California. Esprciallly memorable was driving through the California redwoods forest.

I've been along the Oregon coast before, so we're further inland this time. Lassen and Crater Lake are under consideration for the return leg.

I pulled up behind this GT3 and 2 seconds after I snapped this photo he mashed the throttle. I could hear it clearly over the music I was playing.

Nice GT3. Was it you?

It is surprisingly hot. Car says 102F. Ventilated seats might get some use!

Sounds like a great roadtrip. Many choices of great roads through CA - coastal, mountains, desert, etc . Remember that the Coast Highway below Big Sur is still closed due to winter road slides. Avoid I-5 below Sacramento - very boring.
I'm leaving on a roadtrip next week in my new C4S from LA to Aspen. Gonna be fun!!
