Did any Porsche 944 variant ever come with a Porsche CD-1 or CD-2 that didn't have the Blaupunkt BEA-80 underneath it?

I've only seen the CD-1 or CD-2 paired with the 10-speaker system w/BEA-80. Did the CD players ever come with the regular 4-speaker system?

If it was in the factory accessories brochure at the dealer you could order it fitted to any new car. This is a page from the 87 US accessories brochure and it lists two CD players on offer.

The funny thing is, that brochure is totally inaccurate. The pictured Porsche CD-1 didn't have an anti-theft security code at all. However, the Porsche CD-2 did!

Of that era, panasonic's (Matsu****a) MASH CD units had smoother sound quality.

Just to close this thread out, the CD-1 was always delivered with an accompanying Blaupunkt BEA-80. The CD-1 head unit only has pre-amp outputs, and requires the amplifier to drive the speakers.

I guess they couldn't fit an internal amplifier into the Porsche CD-1 stereo back in 1988-89.
