Sidewalls on tires not square to wheel face S-04 305's
Sort of an odd question. I had new 305/30 19 Bridgestone S-04's mounted on my BBS CH-R rims this spring. The tire sidewall looks funny to me. Its not square with the face of the wheel. It looks goofy enough that Im considering ordering some of the Pilot Sport 4S's.
The BBS wheels are 19x11. I had Pirelli 305 SottoZeros fitted and they didnt have the 'stretch' look.
The tire does look stretched. The contact width to the ground seems kind of narrow against the width of the rim. Do you have 11.5" W rims? My Pilot Super Sports indeed looks more "squared", or vertical against the ground, but they are on stock rims.
OMG here we go again, please do a search for Maybe a silly tire question? Your rears look just like my Pirelli P zeronero GT and my fronts also fit perfectly.
Go to Tire Rack's website and look at the specs for the S-04, P-Zero and the MP4S. The tread width for the S-04's are an inch narrower than the MP4S's and an 1-1/2" narrower than a P-Zero. They all have the same section width (mid-bulge of the sidewall). I think that would explain the stretch look versus the other tires.
