Nice Kobalt!
Great Saturday morning wake up lap. I can only imagine being there.
Those were hard laps.
Turning on wipers after clearing TPS warning = driving hard mcLaren was fast on straights and seemed to have a ton of grip, rolling lots of speed through the corners!!
Beautiful to go for a ride with you, thanks!!

So me and friend did RCN4 today. No rain but very hot in the car. No pleasure in that part.
Friend was supposed to drive the first stint, lap 1-7 and I the rest 8-15 but due to unexpected traffic friend didn't make it to start so I took the first stint.
My stint was like this:
Lap 1: Set time
Lap 2: Sprint lap
Lap 3: Sprint lap
Lap 4: Set the set time from lap 1
Lap 5: Sprint lap
Lap 6: Sprint lap
Lap 7: Cool down lap and driver change, fueling
The car was fine during lap 1 which is a slow lap. Then when starting lap 2 which is a fast lap the car felt incredible unreliable and I was frankly a bit scared of it. It was super sensitive to steering input and it felt "wobbly". But thought that there's not much I can do but try to be careful.
It turned out, most likely, to be the slicks giving me the creeps. As they got more heat into them the car just went from a death trap to just wonderful. Really enjoyed it.
Lap 3 went by and I approached lap 4 which is a slow lap and where I need to set the same time as in Lap 1. Unfortunately I got brain freeze: So the brain said: "No you have only done 1 sprint lap, so next lap is also a sprint lap."
When 3 minutes into Lap 4 at full attack I pass my friend and I realize that he is driving really slow so most likely I should do the same. So I slow down a lot and try to calculate how much into the lap time wise I was. This turned out to be really difficult and I ended up being 30 seconds too fast. 30 seconds too fast gives a penalty of 200 seconds on your final driving time so it is not good at all.
But that was not the worst...
So it was time for Lap 5 which passed by rather well but the brain still processing the big mistake I did in Lap 4...
Lap 6 Wonderful! I drove down into Fuchröhre at full speed with a big smile on my face thinking this is so fun, I was relaxed and enjoyed the car totally, I thought to myself that the mistake I did doesn't matter if it feels this good.
Then I come to the compression in Fuchröhre, speed maybe 190-210kph, and there is an accident in front of me.
Marshal is holding up the Code 60 sign (max speed 60 kph) and looks at me like he wants to kill me.
They clocked me at 168kph... so I fully understand why he looked a bit angry.
Well. The rest of the lap well and it was just Lap 7, cool down and to the pits.
When in the pits I found out that I've got a penalty for driving too fast at Code 60.
I was a bit upset over this because my opinion was that there where no yellow flags before the Code 60 and therefore very difficult to get down to the appropriate speed.
Problem was that i had no video to prove my point and to honest, I could be wrong about the yellow flags.
I went to the Race leader and we spoke about it and in short it ended with me being suspended for the rest of 2017.
So, it was difficult being happy during the rest of the day.
At the prize giving cermony I told my story to my friends co-driver (He was in the top 3 at N24) and he said that he didn't see any yellow flags either(!).
So now I have a video that I hope will free me. Even if it doesn't I'm so happy to know that I didn't miss any yellow flags.

Is Nur in the BMW? Drives like him !
SC or you fixed it? No drama!
Thanks for Shari g, wish I was there.
If I new the Ring, I would be looking into buying a seat, looks awesome!

I guess SC and I worked together but I have no clue to be honest. Would love to have the Porsche App for analyzing over and understear.
Yeah you would have loved it. You are used to the racing experience so it would've been an easy step for you. It is so fun - at lest up to the point where you crash or get suspended
BTW: I guess marshals had a bad day yesterday. The red Honda had crashed already when another friend of mine hit the Honda from the rear. Lucky enough the driver had left the car and was safe. In all it was 6 cars involved in this crash. I'm pretty sure that if the marshals flagged yellow earlier at least my friend wouldn't have crashed. Sheiße
