Default House of Cards - 991 GTS Club Coupe

Couldn't figure out what Neve Campbell's character was driving. It's a 991 GTS Club Coupe (60 produced)!

The last few episodes of season 5. No spoilers but any Porsche lover will notice a glaring mistake in the last episode.

Color and (especially) the seat belts confirm its a Club Coupe.
Love to hear the backstory on how they picked that particular Porsche to use in the show.

The cynic in me says the producer wanted one, the show used it for three days and wrote it off and it's now in a reserved parking space in the studio lot.

I believe the show is shot in Maryland (near Baltimore). One of the 59* Club Coupe owners must live nearby and someone on the show reached out for a favor. I doubt very much that the producers actually purchased the car. Ah, show biz.
(*) one of the 60 CCs was totaled.

I couldn't figure out the model when that whaletail spoiler came into the shot. Did a bit of searching and found it.
TV shows rent or borrow cars, sometimes they are lent by the automakers. This would be a strange car for Porsche to lend out directly.

there is a Club Coupe in the greater Baltimore area whose owner has friends at nearby PCA headquarters , so that may be how it got placed in the show

I was lucky to see one in person when it was released. They had it at the Porsche Parade in French Lick IN, 2015. I saw it in house of cards the other night, while her characters morals may be suspect, her car game is not

Nice pic! Agreed.
I've had a crush on Neve Campbell since I saw Scream as a teen. Was nice to see a TV show give a character a nice car for once. Still waiting on a new GTI or something...producers suck a picking cars out for shows IMO.

The producers of the show called PCA HQ looking for a late model 911 in dark blue. After we determined to what extent the car would be use. We started looking around to see who owned a late model 911. After a few minutes, we thought of the club coupe. Not dark blue but blue and with a cool story. We knew two owners that lived close by. One was in Europe, the other in town. So the guy in town was contacted and agreed right away. Turned out the owner was a big fan of House of Cards as well. They ended up shooting more scenes with the car than they thought they would originally. I know all of this because the club coupe owner was a friend of mine who showed me photos they allowed him to take and told me the story. I'm hoping PCA picks it up for an article in EBrake soon.
