90 S2 - Pad and Rotor recommendations

Just got my 90 S2 (woohoo!) and am looking at replacing the pads and rotors. The brakes don't feel particularly strong (in contrast to all Turbo's I've driven), and when I ran my finger radially outwards on the rotors they feel quite wavey. I'll commute once a week or so in the car, but mostly use it for autoX, track day, and spirited weekend drives. Any recommendations on pads/rotors? Tire rack has Hawk HPS which seemingly work well on other cars. I'm fine to stick with OE too if those work well.

Ive had good luck with the Stoptech rotors (slotted) and porterfield pads R4-s (and they don't dust up the wheels like the OEM)
Cheapest place I found the stoptech stuff was rockauto
Congrats on picking up the S2 - they are great cars

I've used the "plain" Zimmerman rotors that Jason sells for many years, they work well for me. I've never had a need for drilling or slotting. As Jason notes, there are differing opinions on drilled rotors. Read an article last week, I think it was in Sports Car (SCCA mag), dumping on Porsche's use of drilled rotors. I think the guy being quoted was a competitor (ie, manufacturer of non-drilled rotors).
Lots of opinions on pads, I'm sure you'll get a bunch of responses. I've been fairly happy with the last couple sets of Pagid Blacks I use. Good luck!

I was very happy with the Zimmermanns', the quality and finish is excellent.
I used Zimmermann undrilled that are zinc plated (Coat Z) (same as No Lag's):
Front, Zimmermann Coat Z, 95135104102
Rear, Zimmermann Coat Z, 95135204102
And the pads are:
Pagid/Hella, 52006080345 D951P
Also, you will need the brake warning sensor wires (the red wire you see on the caliper above). They are pretty cheap and you will waste a lot of time trying to reuse the old ones if they are still any good.
Sebro also offers a zinc coated for about 25-30% less. Sebro has a good reputation, but I have not personally tried them. I probably will for my other S2.
I have a friend that used the Stoptech and was very happy with them.
One thing about coated discs is first few times you apply your brakes there is a lot of shuddering. You will wonder what you did wrong! It's harmless and goes away after a short drive. It's the coating on the discs being worn away.
Make sure you bed them in properly, or at least be easy on them for the first 20-50 miles.

Consider machining the rotors you have if there is enough material.
Brake pads for the street I have enjoyed PBR Metal Masters, they are easy on the rotors and work well. Also quieter than OEM pads.
