OT: Ford GT...why Porsche will possibly never beat it

Isn't the Le Mans 919 a V4 turbo putting out 500+ hp by itself without the electric motors? I too would hate to see a 911 with anything other than a flat six. But for arguments sake, imagine how much lighter a GT3/RS would be with a 500hp V4 turbo. Or even a Cayman? It would effectively make my nose turn up but performancewise it would be faster and lighter overall package.
That being said I wouild have prefered a small displacement V8 in the FGT instead of shelving the V8 option for the current V6 Turbo. The car is fast but it lacks its famous heart. As already mentioned Fords purpose was winning Le Mans first and foremost. So lightest package was the way they went. Same thing Porsche did with the LMP1 Porsches. I would not be surprised to see a version of that turbo V4 later on in one of Porsches road cars. I think it would suit the Caymans more than the 911's though.

And it's not even an RS!
