Interesting car. Really interesting suspension. Would love to see one in the flesh to see how the angles work as everything disappears behind the cabin.

Can't say it floats my boat. Reminds me of other cars built for racing like the MC 12. Technically interesting but not something I'd ever want to own.

Porsche could easily make a car that beats this. Just take a 911 RSR, add a quasi-road Car interior, slightly soften the suspension and add some parts to federalize it. I mean, the Ford GT is cool, but it's tremendously compromised as a road Car. Absolutely no luggage space. Tiny fuel tank. It's a cool car, but not much of a road Car.

Kind of reminds me of the SCG 003. Although I think his road Car (based strictly on reviews) is better.

Kudos to Ford for building it. Even if Porsche does build a 960/FeFi/whatever, it will probably be on the R8/Huracan or MQB platform and therefore a lot less interesting.

Though it probably would not fit, IMO the GT would have been more interesting with a Voodoo V8. Cross-branding Ecoboost from the 1.0 liter 3-cylinder to pickup trucks to a LeMans racer doesn't work for me.

Dare I say best looking car I've ever seen - engine, transmission and Avis rental interior bits seem to fall well short of the GT3 (991.2) bar, however.

Ford is now cashing in as they missed the high appreciation of the 2005 model but reviews show this one is seriously overweight. Ford makes cars with great specs, Porsche builds cars for drivers

They have to build this kit car until 2020... It will woefully underperform the competition at that point

Beautiful car. I didn't like the level of cockpit noise. That was way too much for me and I like cars that communicate noise and sound in the interior.

Seems like the GT3RS and GT2RS are much more "refined" from a roadcar point of view.

These cars have to strike a balance between race and road. Mostly road since few are "raced". Seems like the FGT III is weighted 70/30 towards race whereas most road going track cars meet the balance more equally.

I also have issues with the 6 cyl. although it sounded better than I thought it would.

Agree with Dave. Jethro's praise was well implicitly "mixed". His praise for the GT3RS by comparison was glowing. Yes, the FGTIII is a more novelty car which puts it high on the "want list" for most but I'm not sure if I would part with $500K for one now espeicially if I have to wait for 2019 for delivery and hamstrung with any need to resell.

I still think the FGTI and FGTII are prettier cars. FGTIII is a gorgeous car, yes, but not classiclly Ford GT.
