Boys, the last few days were epic.
As always, Mother Nature gave her thumbs up and provided us with perfect weather(she even powerwashed the roads the day before for us).
Pennsylvania road designers, I salute you......
Just a perfect combination of roads and company. A group of guys from all different walks of life with the same passion. Best part of a trip like this was the ability to trust everyone you were driving with, everyone knew their limits and stayed within them. By the way, Rolstin, next year I'll do a better job of keeping my windshield clean so you can see the road.
A big thanks to Cam for making this happen, and for holding that vomit down.
Another thanks to Patrick for choosing the perfect roads(especially Stan and Rolstin's 4x4 excursion, and Steve for the heads up not to go)
It sure was a great trip. Indeed its not just the roads or the cars, its friendships built and the social component. We had an awesome start to our trip courtesy of Oakville Porsche. They went over and above to open at 6:45am complete with capuccinos and fresh croissants among some really amasing Porsches on their showroom floor. Then lunch at that old Inn. Then 22 of us watching Leafs do their thing over steaks and beer at Texas Roadhouse in Harrisburg, right next to our hotel.
Add to that twisted roads with beautiful scenery and our cars.... Epic, trully!
I cant really take all the credit for leading the group. Cam, Rick, Michael, Steve and many others had maps loaded, which really helped keeping everyone together. In fact we lost people on a few occasions only to find them waiting at the next check point. It sure would have helped if Patryk was there, but I think he would be proud to see how many people actually paid attention to the route this time.
Thank you all who came, this trip would not have been the same without you.
As others will confirm, this trip is perfect regardless of your car or driving style. You can really take your time and enjoy the cruse at your own pace, the rest of the group will be waiting for you at the next turn off, no problem.
If you missed this, dont worry. It called an Annual Hershey for a reason.
Hundreds of miles of roads like this Boys bathroom stop Brunch at Bob Evans. Vic, say cheese. QEW My favourite Live band at Anchor Bar 11pm Satl RL's finest
Thanks Patryk and Cam for making this drive happen, it gets better every year. Porsche Oakville was an excellent start to an epic adventure.
Thanks to Stan for setting a blistering pace for the fast group, I don't think any of the cars/drivers following you could have done much faster, well done! The roads, the respectful, fast drivers, the company all very very good.
The 10yr old ps2's on my dad's Boxster still have tread and great grip after even with 28,000km on them, and the car itself was impressive for a lowly base 5spd 987.
What an amazing trip. This was definitely the best yet. Thanks so much everyone who came, as many have said, it wouldn't be the same without you.
It also wouldn't be the same without me having to fix at least one car on the trip. I tried not bringing any tools but that didn't work out well for me... heheh
Conrad and Stan... I'm going to have to bring more power next year and then maybe I can lead the twisties
I keep waiting to see a picture get uploaded of me in my underwear...
