I figured it’s about time I introduced my 964 C2 - arguably my favorite car to drive in the collection. I purchased the car in December of ’15, and have spent the past year and a half updating and modifying it to my taste. As the driver of the collection, it sees tasteful, purposeful mods and is an evolution of what I want in a driver. I'll use this thread to ramble...
Starting with suspension, I dove into the car and replaced the original stuff with KW Clubsports. After owning a couple 964’s, I have what I believe to be the perfect recipe - custom shortened front dampers (kindly supplied by KW NA), as well as custom (softer) spring rates. I’ll be keeping those specs to myself, sorry.
I also took the time to eliminate pretty much all of the rubber in the chassis, tossing in spring plates, camber plates, RS sways, yada yada… Note that on this car I have not installed the Evo uprights. I had them in another 964 and did not find them to be a worthwhile modification.
The brakes are stock calipers, with upgraded pads and rotors. This is plenty.
Here’s what I believe to be a comprehensive list of modifications:
KW Clubsport - Custom spring rates
Front A-Arm inserts
Turbo Tie Rods
RS Sway bars with bushings
Drop links
Rear Spring Plates
RS Clutch and LWFW
The very necessary Steve Wong chip
G pipe
Heater box delete and factory RS pipe in place
H4 headlights
Gamroth shifter with forward rod, and golden rod etc.
Rennline Lower Dash Delete
Rennline Pedal suite
Gamroth Steering rack brace and bushings
Gamroth Front strut brace
Recaro Pole Positions
Gamroth hub and quick release
Momo Steering wheel
RUF front lip
993 Windshield Wiper Update
The next phase that I’m currently in includes:
Functional RS brake ducts
Rennline Airbag Delete
Porsche Classic Radio
RS rear bumper insert
Aero Mirrors
993 Door handles
Paint “refresh” - mainly bumpers, and some correction
T-Lock remote door fob
My vision for the car is a lightweight, RS/Cup inspired road/track car. Eventually, I will strip the car, do a proper sunroof delete, weld in rear cage. However, I’ll be keeping AC/Heat, Radio and some other comforts like electric windows.
I think I'll be moving back to a set of E88 - likely silver this time.
Any qualms about losing the horn functionality? (I am currently having trouble getting my horn to work with my Prototipo, and I'm thinking about ditching it altogether
993 Windshield Wiper Update
Just cause it's cool, or... ?
RS rear bumper insert
What is this exactly?

Sorry for all the questions. (I follow you on Instagram. Cool to see you on here, too.)

1 - I'm ditching cruise control and wiring the cruise stalk to activate horn
2 - I needed new wipers, and the 993 ones seemed to look better and work better
3 - center section of RS rear bumper has a different profile than regular US spec
Our builds are very similar, you're the ivory to my ebony. Although I found the rs upright to be one of the best suspension mods I've done so far. Keep this thread updated

All that cool stuff and you're sticking with the flag mirrors? It's by far the easiest "update" to the pre-92's that IMO makes it look like a modern car. And it's not "mod" per see as Porsche made the switch themselves a year or so later.
