Default My Cayman R @ NY Auto Show with Matt MC Designs/Supercars Garage!

Who is heading to the The NY International Auto Show?! Officially opens up today and runs until the 23rd.

If you do, make sure to check out the Supercars Garage booth (#1420) on main level. I drove up to the show on Tuesday with my Cayman R along with the 991GTS owned by fellow Rennlist member "plenum", and a superb 991GT3. Our vehicles will be on display and undergoing custom vinyl wrap transformations during the next week.

The man, the myth, the legend Matt Clark of MC Designs (you may remember him as the man behind Project RSR and Project PT3 RS) is the one heading the design and application during the NY Auto Show. We have put our cars on display while he performs various vinyl wrapping demonstrations. I have given the approximate design idea of the GT4 Clubsport Livery but with Red instead of Yellow, the GT3 will be getting a beautiful Sky Blue full body wrap, and Jon's (Plenum) GTS has been left in Matt's mind's eye to go crazy!

Again, please stop by and take a look at our cars during the demonstrations. Say hello to Matt and company and let them know how excited us three are to be a part of the fun.

Keep up to date on the progress in this thread, as I will be posting pictures as they come to me as well as links to interviews with Matt from the press day yesterday. "Plenum" also has a thread you can check out, as well as his youtube channel "GTSilver" that he will be uploading some videos that he took of our experience.

Below are some pictures of my car after the superb detailing of our local guy Dante, getting setup at the event, and some progress pictures I've received so far. If you attend the event please post up some pictures of the display in action!

If you are interested in some vinyl magic on your own car just give me a call/shoot me an email and we will get you set up at our facility, or make arrangements with Matt to travel to you!

Some updates from yesterday, can't wait to see how things progress today and beyond. Check out that vinyl design on Jon's GTS!

Nice John! The car looks incredible after the detail. Are you going to have the rest of the car wrapped red or is it just for the show?

We're going for something a bit more radical than just red, and yes it will be staying on the car haha. Something like this...

So Matt from MC Designs took the design, put his own twist on it, and Blew It Out Of The Water!!! No words to describe how thrilled I am with the results. Here is the finished result, and some pics/vids from it in action at the immediate track day I took it to this past weekend. If you want something done to your car, give me a shout and I'll get you guys connected

Still running our Race Headers/Valvetronic Exhaust System and loving it!

That looks awesome! I have to admit, it amazes me how easy and relatively inexpensive it is to completely change the look of the car without really affecting its value. Not only that but I'm sure the wrap offers some paint protection

Very cool!

Thanks Afshin! Nothing but a happy camper here, and it's so much less worrying to run up behind people now if i'm stuck behind them for a few laps

Hows your Spyder treating you?
