I may change them twice a year.... I drive my car into forests and marshes to photograph birds and such.... I drive on these awful gravel, dirt, and sand roads so I suck in the dust big time. After five or six of these trips, I can run my fingers over the paper and get poofs of dust!

Peace

Easy to check and inspect. As needed, and have one on the shelf.

Visual inspection will let you know when it needs to be changed.

Every 3000 miles I change oil, air filter, cabin filter, flush coolant, rear tires, alignment, replace lugnuts on wheels, and take off front bumper to clean debris.

Better safe than sorry.

You don't have my option...once! Put in a BMC racing filter, apparently you never need to change it.

Once a year with my annual oil change....they're inexpensive. Not to mention, fairly dirty too!

Living in a dusty desert environment, I change every 10K which is just over a year's worth of driving for me.

I inspect annually (roughly every 5-10,000kms) and replace as needed.
