Default Just ordered a 992
I got info from my dealer that they are now taking orders for the 2018 992, so I am cancelling my GTS Targa order. I have just ordered a 992 for December delivery. I was informed it will have a hybrid engine with 450 hp base, and 500 hp in the S model, with 0-60 in the mid 2's. They see Tesla as their main competition now, as many doctors and lawyers have turned away from the 911 to Tesla, and some "non-desirables" are picking up the pre-owned models. I think they want to improve on the image of the 911 owner and to make it more exclusive. I have ordered a 992 S in a new diamond quartz colour. There is also a new price that is also meant to make the 911 more exclusive. With options I am looking at around $220,000. There will be a Turbo hybrid available later. I can't wait for my new car!!!

Wow! If true, as much as I like my 911 S, for 220k I think I'd go back to something like a Ferrari 599. That's getting into exotic car territory.

Wait, its April 1st..

No its real! In the PTS section they have a new Pixie Dust option that makes your car invisible to all speed traps.

Dammit, you really had me going there! I bet that diamond quartz would look great and a hybrid engine would just sweeten the deal to a no brainer. That was good!
