Default 255s and 315s will fit on 8 and 10" wheels

But only if you get as short as possible of a tire.

Mine are '99s. I'm not sure about the Mk2's. But i do know that the 996 and 997 NB's are all very similar.

I am running the Enkei on my car with same offset and added 7mm spacers with 225/40 in front and 285/30 in rear. looks and run's great.

That's a good point, if this isn't primarily a track car, 225's with spacers are your best bet.

Cool. So we sorted out that the inside of the wheel well will be just fine with the 285s on the Enkeis, since that's exactly my car.

@Slakker: based on your experience, I could even go wider, but one question - are you lowered? Because the OEM ride height I could probably put tractor tracks and never touch the fender, but since I'm lowered (to GT3 height), my tire wouldn't clear the fender if it protruded.

Update for anyone interested. I ended up getting 235/40R18 in front and 275/35R18 in the rear. The front is REALLY tight - on full lock, the wheels rub against the fender liner (but OK otherwise). However, they're spacered by 10mm, and they're very flush against the fender. Looks very good. The rear? There's a black hole in there. I need a minimum 10mm spacer to make the sidewall flush with the fender, which makes me think I could have easily gone 285 with a 5mm spacer, or maybe even 295 or so. In front, though, any wider and I would either not clear the fender liner or hit the fender when I bottom out (in fact, even now, I think it'll be a bit iffy). In the rear, Slakker was right - lots of space.

Thanks for all the help!

I don't think any of the combos should be an issue. I have two sets of wheels I use on my car.

Cargraphic with 8" wide 40 mm offset in the front and 10" width 47.5 mm in the rear. Tires are 245/35 and 285/30

and the other is

Stock MkII GT3 wheels with 8.5" wide 40mm offset and 11" with 65mm + 5mm spacer in rear which means my effective offset is 60mm in the rear. The tires are 235/40 and 295/30.

The car is lowered quite a bit and I will say, I do have some camber on the four corners but I have never had any rubbing except with the 245s on a locked turn with fender liner. That is it. If you need some pictures to see how it looks I can post. But it does look awesome

Always appreciate some pictures - I'll probably go a little bit wider when these are out. Will post mine when I sort my spacer situation out.

First picture with Cargraphic configuration...Second picture with GT3 OEM config with 5mm spacer in rear.

Cool, good info. Btw, your signature says Evoms stage IV tune... what's that, just out of curiosity? Didn't realise there are that many stages out for the nonturbo 996 engine.

I am not sure but if I measure to the top of the wheel opening you can compare that to the top of your wheel opening

Front is 24.5"
Rear is 25.25"

With Cargraphic wheels (would be slightly different with GT3 wheels)
