Gary is a LUNATIC who thinks he has a 911R. We've discussed his guy on the 991 board. He's hoping to find one sucker. They can't sell these Endurance editions for nothing. Sitting in showrooms. Granted, he might have a rare 7 speed manual, but he's NUTS. You can order and manual in any 991.2!! This is an sticker job "edition".

Ha, I had forgotten about that nut job. My dealer has a black one on the floor at $150k that will never sell. On top of being a sticker kit car, if you look closely even the decals look like crap. The average wrap-o-rama place could do a better job. What was Porsche thinking.

^^^ what was Porsche thinking?? That the GT and R pixie dust would work on these kind of Carrera "sucker editions". Unfortunately, GARY is the only one to have fallen for it.

Two thoughts on the OP's post...
1.) Suspension: The GT4/Spyder uses a conventional (although active) tried and true coil-over shocks that do well to control the chassis and keep the car planted. Traditional coil-overs do that function very well, but they don't play the dual role very well. The new technology has advanced and the newest MRC suspension systems out there can do both jobs very well, that is why they are now used by many manufacturers including GM (Corvette & Camaro), Audi, Lamborghini, Ferrari, Ford.
There is no active suspension system out there that does both roles better than MRC technology. You just have to understand that the Porsche GT cars uses the traditional (yet proven) methods. PASM is a good system, but still don't react nearly as fast as a MRC can.
2.) Darting steering: That is a non-issue from the car standpoint, that is ALL alignment settings and can be changed at will , depending on what you want to achieve.
