On a 997 Turbo, what are your preferences for rear badges? Badgeless, clean look? Stock "Turbo" badge? "911" badge? Or something else? My 997TT came with no rear badge, and I am trying to decide if I want to add a badge to the back or stick with the clean "unsuspecting non-car person has no idea what it is" look
For this car, "Turbo". Distinctive, classy, reknown. Apex predator. Same with something like a GT3. But for a Straight Carrera, C2S, C4S, or GTS, I like the simple "Porsche" badging.
I like the plain "turbo" badge on the 997. I wish that they had carried that over to the 991.
If the day comes when I order a new Porsche to my liking, I'll probably order some kind of minimal badging, painted to match the car so it's a bit more subtle.
How about the aftermarket "Red S" seen on many Porsche "S" models? Like the color emblems seen on Audi, BMW, Jaguar, Mercedes-Benz and rice burners for high performance models. Are Porsche drivers being left out?
I prefer the European emblem delete! It helps when the friendly "Trooper," cannot prove you have a higher powered vehicle. "Drivers do not buy Porsches to drive the speed limit."
Can we get a picture? I've got slate grey and I've been thinking a paint matched badge would be nice
Same here, Slate Grey and was thinking of going black or body color. I think black, if I update the wheels to black. The brake dust drives me crazy, in the dry climate. Black wheels typically do not show the brake dust as bad.
Trouble is, they are all Turbo now, and even dealers are advertising it.
I wouldn't get sucked in with the new cars, even if they are Turbo'd.
I also wonder why Porsche never embroidered "Turbo" onto the back of the seat carpets, so when they're lowered you see it.
One day I'll see if someone can actually do that for me.
I'd imagine the salespeople are milking it with the fact that they're all equipped with turbos. It's almost like BMW and Mercedes with M or AMG badging on the entire lineup.
